Would aluminum rivets be strong enough to fasten the belly pans back onto the frame on an SRX?I will be completely stripping my 98 over the summer and replacing the chassis rivets that are weak and loose with the correct multi grip ones but am wondering if aluminum would be rugged enough for the bellypans.Finding the steel multi grip rivets for the chassis is easy enough, with members here carrying them, but the large head style for the plastics,I have yet to see.

This is what I used on my belly pan. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Allstar-3-16-Steel-Rivets-Multi-Grip-Rivet-Large-Head-Black-Aluminium-Body-250pk-/191495732370?hash=item2c9608fc92&vxp=mtr

I wouldn't use aluminum rivets. Which parts are you putting back on? I likely have what you need if you can't find them anywhere. $30 per 100 shipped. I prefer the Stavex rivet over other multi-grip rivets for a number of reasons.

Just re-read your post and see you said the belly pans and also that you are in Canada. It might be a little more to ship but I do have them in black and silver and 2 grip ranges if you can't find them elsewhere.

I bought a bunch from Yamaha, but needed more. So I went to a local lawn equipment/ recreational shop and they sold me galvanized one for 1$ ea. I just used the black Yamaha ones where you could see them and hid the rest. Ask around some one will have an equivalent.
