need quick help please...do you need to use a gasket maker when putting the stock head back on? and can some one give me the torque specs for the head bolts?

No gasket maker. Use the gasket. If it's new you can just install it but new or used I like to use a very thin coat of copper spray on both sides. Don't get carried away with it

Do the longer bolts all go in the middle cyl? Or across the middle from left to right?

Across middle left to right. Don't remember why though.

the center bolts are recessed roughly 3/8 into the cylinder so that alignment dowel pins can be inserted. Two dowels align the head on the far left and far right head bolts.
