I was wondering if you installed rear shocks from a newer viper if this would increase travel? and can i use my exisiting quick adjusters? any help would be appreciated.

The viper shocks will increase travel to 11.5. To make the change besides the shock assemblies you will need longer front limiter straps.canadian part #8cr-47495-00-00(don't know if the u.s. part #'s will be the same).I have made the change and am getting it to work to my satisfaction after playing around with set-ups on it. You will also need an assortment of control rod spacers to help get it to ride the way you want. Using a different amount of spacers on the bottom of the control rods makes some major differences in how it links the front and rear resulting in different ride charateristics. When playing with mine I never went less than 7 mm lower spacer. Right now I am at 9.5 mm lower spacers and am fairly happy with it. Hope this helps you.

The viper front shocks have a different mount,I bought a set and found this out.

I did use the rear shocks without to much trouble. I did use longer limiter straps . Getting the suspension back in was a little tougher but it does ride alot smoother. I didn't make any changes to my quick-rods, they seem to work fine.

I put the viper shocks in the front and back! Went with stock settings for my weight and a viper sled and loosened the front limiter straps a little bit more and what a difference in the ride. Anybody that has a srx and the funds to do this change I would highly recommend it. Search through this site there is plenty of info out their to help and a lot of guys that know their stuff that will help out to. :rocks:
