Hey guys here is the scoop. Sled in garage, exhaust is pulled, carbs are pulled for cleaning. I notice under my sled a very few drops of my klotz oil (reddish pink) nice and clear on my floor. Really stumped as this is new. I can see the reservoir and see no leaks. Follow lines down to the oil pump and don't really see any dripping from the lines. Yes there is residue on them but not like they are leaking. My question is this.......is there a line under the engine I can't see? If so can I get to it by loosening up engine mounts. Like I said its small but it's driving me nuts trying to figure it out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. Todd

If it has been pretty hot there, it might be residual getting nice and hot from garage heat and dripping off of the sled. Or possibly a line got warm and pressurized from the heat, and leaked out.

Hey that's a thought! She was outside all covered snug before I brought her in the garage. It was in the shade but still hot and humid. Garage is cool with concrete floor. That would be cool if that's what it was. It's like five six drops a day. It was fine when I put it up and the end of last season. Thanks for the reply!

Did you ever miss the fill hole, just a little, should be able to see where it is leaking out..... from underbelly.... (spillage) ? Can drip for years...... good luck.............

Thanks whammy! Can drip for years! No at the cost of klotz oil per gallon I'm very careful of spillage! I will check the fittings and hose clamps again.

to answer your first question yes there is an oil line that runs to the bottom of the case and another that jumps from the waterpump/oilpump drive gear housing to the bottom of one of the case of either the #1 or #3 hole. don't remember which one

I think I found the lil bugger! seems the end of the main oil line into the oil pump had a crack under the clamp. Couldn't see it because of frame mount, and was on the backside of the hose towards motor. Removed and trimmed and raised higher than oil level in tank to stop flow. Lost hose clamp to the depths of the motor! Next year think I'm going to replace all lines! So far over night no new oil under sled. Thanks guys!

Get one of those little magnets on a stick and poke around under the engine for the clamp. You might be surprised what you find.

Oh I did that!!!! Only thing coming up on the end of it was ............nothing! And it wasn't for lack of trying! I think those magnets on a stick should be mandatory in the tool box! Used one all the time on my Apex when I had it. No matter how careful I was ... didn't matter.
