My sled is a 1998 SRX 700. If I instantly open the throttle, the sled runs fine until about 85 mph. At that point the PTO side cylinder begins dropping out and it loses power. If I back off on the throttle the cylinder will come back and work fine. If I gradually go to WOT the PTO side cylinder will begin overheating so I have to back off before reaching full speed. I am running V-Force reeds, Bender cold air package with baffles removed from the air box, the heads are milled .030" with a thicker base gasket and a tempa flow. I have a Digitron EGT so I can see whats happening. I have installed new plugs and carb boots. The compression on this cylinder is between 122 and the other two 125. I have 170 jets on each side and 155 in center. Does anyone have any idea as to what might be happening? Your help would be greatly appreciated!

bypass the tempa flow and try it. I bet your problem will go away. How hot is to hot, and which carb is the fitting in. You can bypass by just unhooking the vent line. Maxdlx

Maxdlx,
The fitting is in the carb on the other side. The temperature was at 1360 and rising when I backed off. Thanks for the input. I will try disconnecting the vent line.
