Nathan Titus mrp open snowcross champion in the 1996-1997 season?

I know Vincent won in the 600 class, just didn't realize Titus won the pro open. On a Yamaha? I thought he was on Polaris that season?
The 1999 promo video states that Titus won the open class.

Pretty sure he came within a few points of the title but it was Blair Morgan who got the championship that season(1999?).Yamaha was so close.
