Nice to see you again Black Bear!! Im working on my Exciters in this darn near 90 degree, humid air myself. Anyway, that appears to be an old Power Bloc or Torque something or another clutch. I dont really know much about them except that they use quarter size weight discs to tune them. I believe Scorpion used them. I cant really tell you anything good or bad beyond that.
Does your puller thread into the clutch properly?? Try totally filling the bore with grease then run your puller in. You can use a little heat if need be but becareful as to not heat it up too much or you may damage the moveable sheave bushing or melt the crank seal. Thats about all I have for you. Good luck.

Thanks very much for the information. I think it's a Quick-shift Gold Magnum Clutch. It looks like I should be able to buy a clutch removal tool on-line that will thread in to the clutch correctly. As always your help is the best.
