Just completed the carb install with the exciter II secondary. Yamaha nuts gave me the jetting spec's. Just wondering if I should add a extra hole in air box for more air and would u have to change my jetting ? Also does anyone no if the U.F.O is a good add on for the carb and would it do any improvement for performance with that pore intake manifold? Thanks for any input.

Start with no extra holes in your air box.Just completed the VM-40 carb install.

You can always open it up if the engine demand more air.
The U.F.O. is a good add on to any 2-stroke Engine that has Mikuni VM carbs.
It will give you much better throttle response.

Thanks. Just trying to get everything I can out of the motor performance wise. That doesn't cost a lot of money. The only problem I have now is the back rear shock. I tried two used ones and can't get the one inch sag. It seat from the ground to the back running board at 12 inches and goes down to 9 1/2 inch and when I jump on it. It bottoms out?

You adjust the sag with the spring pretension.Now I have problem with my rear skid shock.

Last night I ran the nut on the spring as far as it would go. I now have two 1/2 sag can't get the one inch. Time for a new shock? This happen last year. Had this problem but when it got cold out things worked fine . Can temp have something to do with the gas in the shock. I just pulled the skid out this morning. I am sick of all the squealing noises when I stand up and down in it. Thanks
