I have a local gas station called chardon oil that sells 100% gasoline with no ethanol in it at the pump. It is only 87 octane though. Would you guys run that over premium ethanol fuels? It's about 2.95 a gallon.

If your engine requires premium, then no I would not run the 87 regardless of the lack of ethanol. Higher octane is required to prevent detonation. If you run the lower octane and it caused detonation your engine will eventually melt down.

I read in the owners manual I downloaded online that said 78 or higher. Wouldn't you think that 87 would be close enough? And do the 02 vipers have detonation sensors on them?

No sensor on the 02. I wouldn't chance it, not worth the risk.
