80 excel v carb

My chocke mechanism was siezed in my carb and after trying lots of different ways to get it out i tried heat... Well its still stuck and now i need to replace everything i melted on the carb too. So i figure it will be cheaper and way easier to just find a different working carb. I cant find any excel v sleds locally so im wondering what other sleds had the same carb. Any info is greatly apreciated.

Is an Excel V a SR540d or a EC540d?

This Yamaha 8H8-14101-01-00 CARBURETOR ASY 1 is used on these models and components:

1979 EC540C CARBURETOR
1979 EC540C CARBURETOR EC540C
1980 EC540D CARBURETOR

I found that as well. But i was thinking that with all the 540 sleds out there maybe a different one would work.

Later model SRV carbs would work but you need the change the carb boot as well as they are a bigger carb
