Guys what is your opinion or experience with the newer 01 series belt use on a srx? They seem like a much harder compound than the 00 series. Could it be more prone to slipping? Mainly for racing applications.

steve serious racers on the srx used the 89l belt. at least on the grass. very soft compound. the belt to use that can last season after season is the 8dn-00, the 01 is a 4 stroke belt. but dose work on the srx. i believe you have to play with belt deflection. you might try a ultamax 809 i believe too. i believe the hard compound brings on the cracks 3:16x. Tony ,I agree that 01 belt has to be harder on the clutches. Would be interesting to see times and speeds with just a belt change and nothing else.

I have one good shape 00 belt and it's like my holy grail...the sled loves it so much more then the 01 belt
