I recently purchased a 98 mountain srx 700 for a really good price after my 01 mm came apart. The previous owner put a 141" track on it but when he did he moved the skid back 3" and added a track extension kit. I'm worried that when they moved the skid back that they might have messed up the geometry of the suspension. When I measure the suspension middle mount placement on my MM it is about a 1/2" off from the SRX and the back suspension bracket on the MM is about 1" different. Am I trying to compare apples and oranges here or should the SRX setup be similar to my MM??

You are better off keeping you 01. The only "advantage" to the SRX skid are the shocks. Bolt them into your 01 skid..................SRXtreme
