New to snowmobiling last season and love it. Bought a 92 yamaha ovation with 3100 miles on it in great condition besides a 6 inch crack on the hood . At first I was just going to use it for ice fishing but immediately fell in love with just riding. 600 miles later I noticed a few things that may be normal but I have no experience in this department. On hard pack such as packed snow covered roads or bare ice the track vibrates very very noticeably. As soon as you get back into anything soft it stops. Is this normal. I just started it up yesterday in the garage just to see if she is good to go. Rear is jacked up I unlocked the break and gave i a lititle gas so the track would spin and I got the exact same vibration the I do when on hard pack or ice. Is that normal or do I have something to fix before winter?
