Well I started getting the sleds ready for this season. I decided to check my reed stoppers from reading a post from last year. He made a good point sleds are getting older (97's). So I order some new stainless steel reed stoppers and decided to notch them as well. I did one sled and the old galvanized stoppers still looked like new but I like the thought of the stainless ones better. I have another sled to go.
Anyways I am looking at my notch job and was wondering what you guys think. Any bit of notching there should help right??

Those look good. No straight cuts and it has rounded edges. And far enough away from the factory edges on the inside of the stop.

they look great! i have always liked the reed spacers since that part is known to crack (and has on my sleds) with out the notch.
I thought the galvanized ones where the ones that cracked not the stainless ones.
