Hey guys, need some advise. I will need to replace my stock track as it is getting worn out. I was talking to a local shop that sells the ripsaw and the owner was telling me if I was going to be changing the track now would be the time to upgrade the suspension if I chose to. I have a stock setup currently and he told me that he had the shocks out of a newer VMAX or Viper that were long travel. He said that it would lift the sled up a bit. He owns his own shop and used to be a Yamaha certified mechanic.
Is this a good upgrade to do. He told me that he would sell them to me for $300 cdn.
Would it throw off the geometry of the sled.
Your input is much appreciated.
Also I was thinking of going with either the ice attak xt or the ripsaw II track. both 121x15x1.22. I mainly trail ride.
Thank you in advance.

It's is a good deal for all four shocks. I've got a skidoo sc4 suspension that would be really nice! Pm me if your interested.

I would upgrade the suspension. As for your track I would go ripsaw they are great tracks I run them on all my sleds.

If it were me and I could afford it I would upgrade the whole suspension to something better. I hated the suspension in my srx. Thought about upgrading to the viper suspension to help out. Ended up getting a mono and it is way better. This year I bought a viper and when I took the skid out I figured out my srx already had the viper suspension. I put a m10 in the viper but have to wait for snow to try it out. Just my 2 cents.

I went with the 1 1/4 predator track.

As far as viper shock just do the rear skid. Leave the front stock shocks on it. I have done it both ways and that's what preferred.
