Is the viper seat a direct bolt on to a srx?

Yes it is. Only bad thing about going to a viper seat is you will see the screws that are on you're gas tank. As you can see in the pictures the tanks are the same but different.

So how does it attach in the front if it doesnt use the screws and doesnt use the snaps?

There are two plastic hooks on the front of a viper seat. Those hooks side under the gas tank which keeps the seat down in the front and two bolts in the rear bolt it down.

So do i need a viper tank to make this swap work?

So got the seat....cleaned up real nice. Swapped the plug over .
