I just installed a sc3 in my viper is there a way to know if my ski pressure is going to be good without riding the sled? Setting on the concrete in the garage I just can't tell.
Thx,

Some added info. I hope someone can add some input.
My skid cam from a 2005 mxz. The skid does have the ears in the front, not the straight through bar.
I was able to get dimensions from the donor sled, measured myself.
Dimensions from the donor skid are:
1st hole 8.370" from C/L of drive shaft and 4.500" down from tunnel.
2nd hole 24.900 from first hole and 5.550" down from tunnel.
The dimensions I measured were very close to what I had found in my searches that others had success with(but I think they were srx's). That being said below is where I put my mounting locations.
1st hole 8.750" from C/L of drive shaft and 4.750 down from tunnel.
2nd hole 25.500 from first hole and 6.375 down from tunnel. I stretched the 2nd hole down from the tunnel about as far as I could.
I have read everything I could find and have only heard of one person who has not used drop brackets on a Viper. I am hoping someone can give a bit of feed back.
The skid dropped right in, track adjusted good(just spun by hand, still in storage mode) just not sure if it will work with the rear hole where it is
and do not want to make/rivet support plates until I do. A bit long winded but wanted to give all the info I could.
Thx

The rear blocks are about in the middle of the gap or maybe just a little past. The gap is tight to the front when I am not on it.
Thanks for the reply I appreciate it.

I THINK that should be about right. A good starting point at least

I do know others have done the swap though, they should be able to chime in as well

Thanks, I never thought about the position on the sit in and the relation to ski pressure.

Anyone else install one of these in a viper without drop brackets?

I did but I didn't move it back and down like you did

Staggs does that mean you use the same dimension as my donor sled.

Yes. I transfered the measurements direct from my donor sled. Didn't alter them at all. Did this in 3 sleds with no issues. A viper, srx and rx1. The rx1 did require drop brackets because of the tunnel. Srx and viper did not
