I am looking to add springs to the front of the skids on my 82 SS 440's. Neither sled had them when I bought these sleds almost 30 years ago.
I was able to find the springs I need but the collars are no longer available.
I have a picture of what the collars look like.
What I need most is really just the outside diameter measurment. With this measurement I can machine up my own collars.
These collars are used on the 80-85 SS440's and apparently used on the 80/81 SRV as well.
Thanks to anyone that can help.

The collars fits inside of the front springs of the skid, the ones mounted behind the foremost outside idler wheels.
The part # is 90387-30759-00
See the picture in my first post, I draw a box around it.

The 1980 machines were built with steel skids and recalled so they could install the alum ones.
Mine have the mounting bosses for the springs and the spring perchs as well. The collar just slips into the spring and its used to keep the spring from slipping off the mount.
Its not attached to the skid, when you remove the spring the collar falls off.
If you would like install springs on yours I can send you the info on where I found them.

I just pulled my 81 SS skid a few days ago. If you still need the collar measurements let me know. I am travelling but will be back home on Nov. 12.
I always upgraded my front skid springs with the ones from the 82 SRV or the 81 SRX. The SRV/SRX springs are a lot heavier and don't break so easily. The reason I upgraded was that I kept losing the collars every time a spring broke.

Yes I'm still in need of the measurements.
Whenever you can get to it, it would really help me out.

The collars are 34mm O.D. and 30mm I.D. I mic'd the wall thickness at 2mm which adds up.
