I am reinstalling the repaired stator (as luck would have it there was a bad solder joint). Does anyone know the torque spec for the stator mounting screws? My clymer gives values for everything apart from that. Also, is it necessary to use locktite and if so which type should I use. Do you locktite all the other screws as well? pick up sensor and wire clamp mounting plate?
Somebody has attempted to repair this in the past and rounded out most of the bolts. I got all out apart from the top plate that holds the wire in place. I ended up having to drill this out and unfortunately I will only be able to use one bolt to hold this plate in place.

Most likely the reason the Clymer manual doesn't give a torque is because they couldn't get it from a Yamaha manual. It isn't there either. You could look it up on a standard torque chart online by the size of the screw - I don't remember if that one is a 5 or 6 mm. There is no indication for Loctite on those.
For the screw that was drilled out, possibly it could be drilled and tapped for a larger screw, or a Helicoil insert used.

I use loctite and just tighten them up as much as I can. If you need to remove the screws again just heat them up, that'll soften up the loctite.
