Ok, up until yesterday, the 2 weeks i've had my srx, i've had to pull it over my spinnin the primary. Not a big deal, PITA tho. On cold start, i 've been puttin a lil gas in the right cylinder head, then puttin plug back on, pulling over, and it'd start. Well i thought that'd end when i had a better advantage (with the recoil fixed like it is now).

No go, still will NOT start on cold pull without a little gas in the right cylinder, whats up with that!! it runs PERFECT tho after its started :S

check for antifreeze in that right cyclinder. I had a Kaw Invader 440 that was the same way. it had a warped head and the gasket could not seal when cold. When hot or at least running for a few seconds, it was ok as expansion sealed the gap. I know the SRX has O-Rings, but that is an engineered sealing area just the same. I bet the gas gives it just enough volatility to fire. Is it smoking abnormally (white) when you start it cold? Also, get er' fired and pull the right plug wire immediately and see if there is a diff. Maybe you have a weak coil. Good luck

ya, and the dude is like 5 feet tall, i can take him. must use that badge to make up for his little guy complexion. Hes already pulled me over twice back when i rode a kitty.
