Hi
Sled is new to me. I am going over it, got to the disk brake.
I have opened the master cyl, removed the old fluid and added new.
Tried to take the pads out, no luck. Need help?
Also I think one of the Pistons is stuck. Need help?
Thanks for reading.

Take the brake assembly apart and clean it and try to break loose the piston without damaging it.

I guess what I'm wondering is it normal that the pin that holds the pads in to be stuck.
There is a locking cap for the pin, I can get that out. But not the pin.
Is ther a trick / technique to get it out?

Try spraying it with JB 80 it works better than wd 40.

usually not, but they can be a pain. heat will be your friend along with some homemade penetrant.
sounds like your going to need a rebuild kit for your caliper. there are a few trick to this, but the overall process is easy. nows the time to do it so your not dragging the pads on the rotor when the snow flies.

OK thanks, I have added a picture of what my caliper looks like to my first post. This is not my caliper.
Looks like yamaha rebuild kits have a new pin, which is good.
But I did not see a kit for my phazer 500 on ebay. Is there a part number?
Also are these same calipers used on many sleds, or is it an odd ball?
Thanks

Thanks, glad to know the calipers are common.
Looks like those kits don't include the pin that holds the brake pads.
Also I see the piston and seal kit appears to be part 8CR-W0057-00-00. I may need that.
Time to get the tools out.
