I know years ago the M10 was THE goto suspension fix for older sleds . I also know the proaction suspension with the ohlins gas shocks were and are pretty good. So....is it still such an improvement over my 200 srx pro action, or should I save my money for other things?

m10 is still today one of the best riding suspensions, they do lack in transfer though. The yamaha mono skid is a very nice upgrade for a SRX, and offers good transfer. The proaction is not going to give you a good ride, ohlins or no ohlins. A boss seat and skid swap are both musts for a SRX IMO.

I'm not sure, but I believe the 06 and newer Apex. If you go to the 4stroke side they can set you straight. You will probably find one for sale over there.

I did a m-10, boss seat and rox handle bar adjustable riser on my '04 viper. I like it so much that I will probably never sell it. I have a '08 apex Rtx and if it weren't for the amazing acceleration and top end pull I would only ride the viper. Much easier to ditch bang and and the m-10 is easy to adjust and will take a beating a lot better than a mono skid.image.jpg

Im an old fart with a bad back but will be forever in love with my srxs. So forvthe best ride for a bad back would be the m-10 then?. If so does anyone know how much it would be for a 121 srx. ? Would love to go 136 but its definately not in a budget.

New there like 1200 bucks or so, but you could find a used one for much less. Avoid the early metric versions easily to spot with there purple rails. I'd check eBay and the classifieds here. I love my m 10 and would have sold my sled many years ago without it. I started with a 121" and upgraded a couple seasons later with tracks USA rail extensions.

If you buy a used one make sure it has rebuildable shocks. I had the cheap steel shocks and one of them broke the eye off of it. When I get new shocks I will have as much or more in the skid than a new skid would cost. If I ever get another m10 I will wait until I can afford a brand new one. There is definitely not much transfer with the m10 but it does ride better than the mono skid I have in my srx although the mono isn't too bad and transfers the weight pretty good.
