Do I need to put new gaskets on a 700 sx redhead when I change a piston?

If the gasket is still in good shape you can spray them with copper gasket spray and re-use them.

There is 3 layers on the top round gasket and 2 layers on the lower gasket.

Pull out 1 layer on the head gasket.
1. Drill out the opposing rivets.
2. Throw away the worst looking layer.
3. Coat w/ either HIGH TACK or COPPER COAT.

Either the head or the jugs have already been milled down to give it more compression, I would really like to leave it as it is I have to run race gas currently in it.

Do you have Hi-Tack or CC on hand?

I have a can of copper coat. Do I need to take the other 2 jugs off to completely get the CC on the whole lower gasket or would it be safe to just spray it over the top of the jug I took off

Warmup the gasket and spray the jug side and the head side. Heating up the gasket makes the CC flash off immediately and you don't have to wait for it to dry. Don't worry about the other two base gaskets.
