Can any mod be made to these ? I heard that some people put notched reed stops in. Is that only for triples ? And if so how do you do it. Thanks

They are junk! I put a set in my sled, less than 500 miles later they were warped and chipped. better off with stock reeds. The stopper notch is for the redhead tripples.

Not for twins . I heard people take the Cage off and Boyeson sells a straight bar that runs on the bottom . I have two sets I bought one by mistake. I bet throttle junkie has a answer I bet. He a yamaha giro .thanks buddy

Well, I cant say any thing about the triples as I havent wrenched on a ton of them, but for a twin like the SRV boyesen dual stage reeds will make a bit of a difference in throttle response. Its not a cure all bolt on but a well tuned engine will show some slight low end gains. You may have to change you existing pilot jet to work with them.
I'll have to do some reading and see what the notched stop is all about. I know some guys will bend the stock stoppers just so they clear the intake.

That is what the notch does for the twins as well. Ran it on my sx500r and it improved its performance as well as made it start easyer.

I seen a tread wear the middle stop had like a horse shoe cut out of it if I recall . There where. Three like pedals that covered the reeds.
