I picked up a really nice two-up seat and adjustable backrest at Haydays this year for a reasonable price. The dealer that was selling it in the swap area swore up and down that it would fit my '97 VMax XTC chassis without modification. As you can see from the attached pics, it is about 7.5" - 8" too long. The adjustable back rest fits the factory holes in the tunnel and when I sit on the sled with the seat mounted as shown it is comfortable and the two seem to mounted in the correct position relative to one another.
So, can I simply add a 136" tunnel extension and I have it fixed or do I have to do more? Will this seat work with the stock 121" suspension or do I have to extend it to 136"?
Any information you can provide would be very much appreciated.
