I have a 89 exciter and a mint 600 twin motor with 1200 kms from a 98 vmax. I want to put that motor in and i know the94-96 bolts in but im never gonna find one as clean as my 98. So my question is can i just use a 94-96 crank case so i have proper mounts or what would be the best way to make my motor bolt in?

The cranks are different and wont fit. You could change the studs on you Exciter cases and run the 600 top end. You may have to match the transfer passages from the cylinders to the case. Also, you have to machine the cases or find a spacer that is the same diameter (id and od) as the cylinder stud dowels on the 600.
