Hey Guys,
I've been revamping my sled this offseason and decided to buy a Boss seat with the tail light. I wired it up with information I found on this site. However, I found that the light doesn't get brighter when I actually hit the brake. The light just stays constant when it's running vs. actually using the brake. I used a multimeter to check the voltages on the different wires and I can see the voltage changes. Is the Boss seat light a single phase light, or did I screw something up? If it is, any recommendations on what to get? Seems important to have a light that gets brighter with the amount of braking I do Thanks! Andy

You've got something wrong or your sled isn't sending the signal. It should get significantly brighter. We have four of these in my group and they all get brighter when braking.

Thanks for the info. I'll try to dig some more and see if I have a bad connection somewhere. This is the wiring I used taken from a post on here. Seem correct?
actually the blacks probably DONT go together!!
i will assume the yamaha harness is as follows
black=ground
green= run
blue/red=brake..... just check a wiring diagram to confirm
your aftermarket brakelight should be marked as......
white=ground
red=brake
black=run

Got it figured out, thanks guys. Found a bad connection in my own wiring.
