OK so when doing a compression test Always hold the throttle Wide open. your first 3 pulls are usually the most significant while building compression. Total of 5 pulls to obtain full compression. These numbers are off. they should be with-in 5 lbs of each other. Check again while holding throttle wide open then pour a small amount of 2 stroke mixing oil (about a shot glass full into each cylinder) and record difference. If there is any blow by past the piston rings the oil will seal the gap. Remember to record the dry cylinder vs wet (oiled) cyl. Check compression while cold. Enjoy!!

Hey guys im new to this site .trying to get some answers. I did a compression on my sled 2002 yamaha sx viper 700 and on the PTO side i got 70psi then middle 100 then MAG 105. The sled is also overheating.Should i be pulling the head off to inspect head gasket and pistons?

Thats a big difference! You should start your own thread. yes further inspection required.
