Hey guys, just bought my first snowmobile and I was wondering if someone can help me out, I just bought a 1998 Yamaha SRX 700 and it needs a new track, it has a 3 inch drop down bracket in the rear and I was wondering if a 15 x 121 x 1.5 track will fit without rubbing???? I read a lot about guys running a 1.25 track but I have access to a great deal on a 1.5 track. Any help will be greatly appreciated
Thanks Scott

You should be able to any thing over a 1.5 you will need to change drive wheels.

Is it 1.5" paddle or overall thickness? Are your tunnel guards in cooler guards in? Pull you track and measure from face of drive wheel to closest point of contact. Lots of variables it may work it may not.

You can run up to a 1.75 lug if all heat exchanger protectors are removed. That is a bit big of a track to run due to lack of snow removal from tunnel. A 1.5 would be perfect and is my choice. Ran a 1.5 on last viper i sold and it was awesome. Great hook up in trail and powder just remove the protectors.
Perfect!!!!!!!! My buddy has a brand new 1.5 track that he'll let go for next to nothing so I'd really like to grab it, I'm gonna have a look under it tonight a see if the guards are on and take some measurements. Really appreciate the response guys
