Good temp gauge for 03 viper with aaen pipes ???

I'd like to install an actual temp gauge instead of the stock dummy light on my viper. I've seen some digital ones for 40$. Are they worth it? Just installed a pipe kit from hauck and I'd like to keep from melting cylinders and just have a piece of mind all is good.

You need exhaust temp. gages for that. The water temp gage will let you know if you start to run hot on the water temp. but doesn't let you know how hot the gases going into the pipe are and thats what melts the pistons.
