What have I got here? It's from an 02 skidoo touring. It's a 136. Good upgrade for my 136 viper? It's got a 136 pro-action right now and I pretty much hate it haha.

How can I tell the difference between the 2 and 3?

Is there a mechanical difference to tell by looking? Maybe someone could post a picture to compare. I want to make for certain before I buy this. I've been looking for a 136 doo skid for what seems like for ever. This one is for a GREAT price.

Well I've being doing a ton of research and here's some things I've found out.
According to the skidoo.com website the sc10-2 was "fully coupled" in the 02 touring models. That website offers a "previous models" link where you can search models as far back as 1997. So there's that. Also I've read that the easiest way to tell to 2 and 3 apart is by the torque arm under the rear shock. The 2 has one arm underneath the shock and the 3 has one on either side. 2 has about 1 inch less travel but this is debated and I can't get a clear answer. It's seems other than a few mounting locations and some miner things, the 2 and 3 are really hard to tell apart. The original sc10 however, looks totally different and is easy to distinguish. I think this skid is an sc2. There is alot of confusion about these two skids. I'm going to keep trying to clarify which is which. If anyone knows of an actual noticeable mechanical difference (like the torque arm thing) than please let me know.

The 3 has a "J" slot where the rear shock mounts. I'm thinking this is something like a leverage adjustment. Sc10-2 does not have this.
