Hey guys, I'm looking for a track for my 98 SRX 700 and have a question about used tracks, I found a almost mint looking track for sale and the only thing wrong with is its missing a little piece of the out side of the track, my question is....is it safe to install a used track with missing lugs or other things with minor damage????

I would stay away from the one pictured if it were me. I'd expect that one. To tear at some point. I've run some with a few torn lugs. What you need to consider is how long will you get buying a track that's already on its way out. So you save a little right now just to have to do it all over again soon. I've been there and understand sometimes we just have to live with what we can afford. But if you can swing it try to find one as close to new as possible.

Don't install that. If that track breaks at 100mph + guess what. Keep looking around, I've found some nice used tracks for good prices many times.

Sounds good, I think I'll just order up a new track then I won't have to worry about it just wanted see if I could save some money and put it somewhere else on the sled

If you do find a used track with some minor tears and or missing lugs, put some really tough glue or epoxy on the spot to stop it from fraying out the cords and catching stuff. I've bought a used track before and had no problems but I get very few miles on.
