Wondering if anyone has run studs on a 700 deluxe with a RIP2 1.25 track? Just got it in last night, clearance is pretty tight i had to shave the lugs were the protectors were. looks like it will be fine but wondering if anyone has run into issues.

no studs with 9 tooth unless you want to put in a new exchanger
no studs with 9 tooth unless you want to put in a new exchanger
Does this apply to other sleds or just the 700 deluxe?

1.175 is the longest you can run with the protectors and even then they will tag the front exchanger

Just an update on this in case anyone wanted to know. You can run 1.325" studs on these machines. There's Just over 1/2" clearance at the front so no issues just make sure you run the track tension to Yamaha specs. I just had to trim the lugs because they slightly contacted the protectors. Trimmed maybe an 1/8" at the most

How many miles have you put on with this setup? What type of riding? I tried running studs on my viper with 1.25" track and it chewed the coolers pretty good.

The track that was on it had that size stud. We bought the sled used and I didn't realize they were that size until I measured them yesterday. Been busy and had other things going on, should have measured them earlier. Not sure how long they have been on there but the sled has over 12000km and we've put 3500 ourselves. I will be adding that size to the middle(96) once I get the track broke in. There is no real damage whatsoever to the coolers, slight scratch here and there but no big deal. The protectors at the front are approx 3/4" thick so there's at least 1/2" of clearance. Not sure why you had that much damage, unless the track was loose or you had a bearing let go maybe the exchanger is different on the viper. Just in case I will be running the track to spec, I usually like running them a little looser.we do mainly trail riding and ditch banging,. Let's put it this way it's my 17 years old sled.
