Srx base gasket

I understand that the manual says to install the base gasket dry, but I have used copper coat on most engine I put together and was wondering if anyone uses it on the SRX motor?

Yeah I get it but will the Copper coat spray hurt?

I installed a new base gasket in my SRX just recently as well as new rings.I installed the gasket dry and no problem at all.Just make sure the surfaces are clean prior and torque properly.Just like yammie suggested.
