Looking to find out if a 1.25" Ripsaw track with 1.325" Woody Gold Digger picks will work in my stock 2001 SX700R?
I called around to a few places, and left my number at two places which required call backs. I wound up purchasing the track and picks from the 1st supplier that called. The next day, I received a call back from someone from Port Yamaha who said the largest track that I can put in the sled without modifications is a 1" track. Apparently the stock track comes with a .920" lug height. The previous track was picked, has tunnel protectors on both the tunnel and front heat ex-changer. From what I have found and read in the forum, the 1.25" track might rub on the front heat ex-changer protectors and not sure if the picks I ordered will work without causing any damage!!!!! I'm OK with letting the track rub on the heat ex-changer protectors for the 1st 5-10 miles.
Hoping to hear from someone with previous experience with this setup. The place I ordered my new Ripsaw and picks from said they have sold this combination numerous times for this type of application.
FYI...Found a 'Stud Boy' application chart for 2001 Yamaha sleds out on the interwebs. I have attached for sharing/informational purposes.
Thanks in advance!

Yes a 1.25 will rub just a tad for the first little bit. I've never run studs on any of my sleds. Almost positive you'll be fine with that setup though....

I have a 2001 sxr 600 that I put a 1-1/4" ripsaw on, I have 1-1/2" studs on mine though, and I had to swap out the stock 9 tooth drivers for 8 tooth to allow enough clearance.
