99 500 venture w/97 600 motor help

I've got a sled in my shop here that is a 99 venture 500. This was the liquid cooled 500 sled and he's put a 8cr00 600 motor from a 97 venture in it. Ive got the job here to dial it in. First question...is the 500 cdi compatible to run on the 600? Also I'm wondering about these carbs. Is it the same carb? Hes got the 500 carbs on it. I think im going to try and go to the factory specs for 97 600 jetting and needle to start as a baseline but wonder if the needle is possibly a different part #. I'll be setting the clutches up at some point later too.

Got some info. Got rid of smart carbs now running the tm36 carbs from the 500. Going to run stock 97 vmax 600 twin jetting. 151.3 mains, 45 pilots needles at 2. Tach not working but the battery is whipped so gunna put new battery and see if it helps the tach.
