Any reason a 92 Venture entire chaincase with reverse can't be bolted onto a 84-97 Phazer bulkhead? I realize the forward/reverse handle will have to be customized through the hood but will everything else line up??

I've done this swap before

Out of the 4 bolts that hold the chaincase to the frame 3 of them line up. The upper rear one is off a little but you can drill a new hole in the frame for that and weld a blind nut on the back.

You also need the Venture jackshaft and the Venture drive axle to make this work.

The oil injection tank from the Venture is slightly different from the Phazer so one of them is nice to have and you have to modify the bracket the tank bolts to. A new tab had to be welded on for the bolt.

The gear ratio of the Venture chaincase might be about 2.24 to 1 if it was from a long tracked Venture like a 136 or a 151 inch track.

A short track 121 inch Venture has about the same ratio as the stock Phazer came with in the 1.74 or so to 1 range so a short tracked one is a better swap.

Pretty straightforward if you happen to have a parts Venture hanging around.

Also had to shorten the shift handle to clear the bottom of the fairing.
