Hey guys, picked up a 91 Exciter II last winter that had some major suspension issues. Rebuilt that and now we have it ready to roll. My issue is, it can be very difficult to start. I do not have electric start. However, once I get it started, it runs great and will restart after the first pull. Let it sit for a few days and you're back to pulling 30-40 times to get her to start. Any ideas here?

If you let it sit for a day or so and pull it over, are the plugs wet?? If they are, you could have a bad set of needles and seats.

My '93 was acting like this for a couple years. Cleaned carbs & adjusted choke multiple times, plugs would always be wet.
My recoil rope was only long enough to get a decent half pull, so i finally put in a longer rope and adjusted choke cables once more. Now it starts 2nd or 3rd pull every time. Don't know exactly what fixed the issue, but I'm happy regardless.
