I have a 94 Phazer with a DG pipe and 36 mm flat slides . What porting parameters would be the best for all around performance? What kind of horsepower would it make?
something like widening the exhaust, not raising it much at all, intake work and clean up the transfer bridges on bottom side, they are very rough from the factory. With that dg pipe, some porting you should make around 75hp. carbs don't give any powergain but they do allow you to adjust the fuel mixture in the midrange with the needles vs the butterfly carbs, modded phazers were notorious for mid range burn downs because of the carbs-stock.
I have a build journal in the working section and am going to update it in next couple days, am in process of taking pics of newly ported phazer cylinders and head work, you can take a peek at it and see if its something you want to do.

yes 75 -80 hp is pretty easy and trail rideable yet ...........once you push the 90+ hp mark they become temper mental to fuel timing, and head design but they are still a great sled to play with
