I performed a compression test on my 2003 Mountain Max 700 and there was about 125 psi across all 3 cylinders, I also tested my 98 Vmax SX 700 and she has around 147 psi across all 3, why so much difference, Should \i worry about this or is it ok because they are all the same psi? Will I notice less power because, Any and all info will be appreciated , thanks

the sx700 likely has had a layer of headgasket removed from it to raise the compression, look at the gasket tabs that stick out from the head and cylinder and see if it has 3 layers. theres a rivet that holds the layers together if its not in it, its been peeled.

125 psi is great. Like mrviper700 said a layer might have been pealed.
