Youl need some bridge rectifiers, a capacitor, and a switched wiring harness. You have to turn healight on after the engine is started because the hids only have one chance to start and It will fail with the low voltage upon startup.
Where do you capacitor? Before rectifier or after ?
It dont work very well at all. Try the new style LEDs.. they are just as bright. Talk to Rockmeister.

x2 Led's will work great. HID cannot be done on old ignition system, been tried a bunch of different ways and wont work. Stater simply cannot handle the power needed to keep lights on and fire the ballasts. You will get a bunch of flickering and eventually overheat stater and shut sled down. I tried everything on a 98 vmax with e start and battery and could not get them to work. Even with battery it would soon start flickering and die. The stater could not charge battery fast enough. I would do the cre LED's like mrsled stated. Plug and play and light just as good as HID's within reason.
What's a good led headlight?
