when is start my exciter when cold sound like motor has a knock but goes away when warm any ideas? thanks

Sounds like piston slap. My phazer did the same thing and slowly started to lose compression. But still ran good for another 2 seasons.

YM is right. Wiseco's knock like like mad in those motors until they warm up. A worn OEM piston will do the same thing.

is it anything to worry about or should i do clutch tuneup and run it?

I wouldnt worry about it unless it becomes really noisey.

when i grab primary by hand and move it back and forth i hear a little noise is that normal. its been a few years since i've rode just trying to feel it out again

Yes and no it depends on how loud it is. If it is really loud it's the piston slapping. Still rideable but you will slowly lose compression.
