When using a torque stop on the Viper, what clutch alignment tool do I use? Most importantly what is the center to center?

I believe stock. At least that's what I use

The srx calls for the same specs as the viper in facts 15mm and 268.5 is all except with reverse.

The viper calls for the engine to be "cocked" a little to the front to allow for the engine to torque back. You will want to go straight like the srx with the torque arm on the viper.

Drew I've heard this before but the tech section says the specs for viper and srx are the same. Is it in the manual or something? The viper calls for the engine to be "cocked" a little to the front to allow for the engine to torque back. You will want to go straight like the srx with the torque arm on the viper.

Yes. It actually shows 0-1mm gap in the back of the primary when the front is touching depending on which tool you are using. It goes off the ring gear with the electric start. So actually it is not specifically saying to turn the motor but it can be cocked a little toward the front.

Where are you getting this info? Link? It makes sense however I have not seen this anywhere.

Drew is correct. A stock viper has a slight offset. When using the SRX wishbone torque limiter you need to change to Srx specs. Now if he is using a simple torque stop he can leave it stock. Just set stop so it stops the engine when aligned.

What is the difference between the "wishbone" and a "simple torque stop" ??Drew is correct. A stock viper has a slight offset. A torque stop is just that. It mounts behing the engine on clutch side bulk head. When the engine starts to twist under load the torque stop stops the engine from moving. The SRX digbone actually mounts to the bulkhead and engine tying them together. The engine does not move at all. Hence why you have to align clutches straight like SRX. All mounting hole are there for viper. Will see if I can find a pic.
