You will get lots of answers from this. lol You should be able to find yamalube for cheaper than that. Around the $30 range. I ran yamalube last year and had no problem with it. I am going to run klotz this year just because it is full synthetic. You don't have the power valves to worry about so it probably wont make as much difference to you which oil you use so I wouldn't worry too much over it. The Yamaha triples don't use much oil anyway so its not that much more expensive to run good oil.just wondering what type of oil you guys use in your two stroke sleds. yamalube is about $42 a gallon, just wondered if you guys used the yamalube or something different and cheaper

shell advanced snow ultra, full syn.
i'll tell yeah, i switched from shell mineral oil half way through last winter and noticed a big difference when trying to pull that triple over at -35c.

you can get yamalube for around $26 at motosport.com with free shipping if you spend $49.99 or more.

Did some researching a few years ago, Arctic blue semi synthetic passes all international highest standards, power valves stay clean. $22 a gallon here at local Midwest supply. Depending on where you live it may be a hard find. Mystic is the old citgo sea and snow from what I've read, not bad but prob more expensive.

Ahh, the nosboy oil post, the mother of all oil 2stroke oil posts. I guess buy any cheap oil with the highest certification. I buy arctic blue because it's made up in Duluth. Support in-state economy a little... My recommendation was based on CaptBillvmax700 asking for a good oil that was cheap. Yamalube or mystic or arctic blue are probably the cheapest decent oils. I may be wrong. Have not been price hunting. We r getting screwed big time on oil prices with what oil is selling for now on the stock market. But I've heard the oil coming from the Middle East is so shitty that they basically HAVE to add ethanol to get the octane rating up to acceptable levels.....but that's another topic.

Fwiw I run amsoil in my sled along with alot of my vehicles. Seems like a good oil whether or not you wanna believe all the hype about full synthetics.
