On the last drive of the season coming back from Parry Sound up in Ontario, my steering went all wonky on me. The rivet holding the front heat exchanger had popped on the bottom allowing the exchanger to move when trying to turn. So it was time for a freshen up. Pulled motor, cleaned the hull. Drill out rest of the rivet. I was too lazy to pull the suspension or remove the drive, so I placed 2 small cuts in the bulk head and wiggled and pushed the darn thing out. Once the bottom fin was welded back into place me and a friend put it back in with little effortand with in minutes the piece sat pretty where it had come from. We also changed the piston rings some lines and pressure washed the bay. Now to put everything p back together before we get a good base of snow. 1999 srx700.

I would have like to have needed just new rivets but the bottom fin that rivet to the bulk head had already started to tear off. I nice little weld and I no longer have to worry about that. So if anyone runs into this problem check the bottom fin if it is not tearing apart i'd just replace rivets to tighten everything back up together.
