I have a 3 pull throughs on my new to me SRX. Now I have a machinist buddy who has an idea.
He is gonna cut off the cable end on the valve, and drill and tap a hole where that was. Then he has a bolt that has the same head height as that end. He is going to then round off the head so it has the same diameter as the end he cut off. Loc tite the bolt into the valve and make the slot for the cable end.
I told him I think it could work but I'm nowhere near a pro here. Looking for your input fellas. Will it work????

This is a proven repair that lots of people use including myself. Better than new. Use high heat loctite. Also, if you use a shoulder bolt it saves you having to turn it to size.

That fix will work. I've fixed a few that way. Make sure cables are adjusted properly afterwards or they will break instead of pull through.
