Mid 80's Phazer engine fit in a newer Phazer chassis?

I have a good running mid 80's Phazer engine, and was curious if it would fit in the next generation Phazer chassis........example: like the year 2000 or so chassis.

It will fit but it needs alot of modifications to get it in there. Not really worth all the trouble to put it in it would be easier to find the motor for that chassis.
