so I went out for the first time on my new srx, 99 with an m10 skid and c&a xt series skis, 96 stud 1.25" hacksaw track. AMAZING SLED! loved it!
the m10 didn't do much for the rough trails I ride, but it left me a lot less sore than when riding the 93 exciter sx we have. I still have to play with the setup of the m10 a bit I guess.
the power of this machine is incredible. haven't got to wot it yet but I am very anxious to! went up to about 85 mph and it was a breeze, on a road with some packed unplowed snow. haven't held it wot yet cause I need to get used to it lol. fastest sled ive drove was the 93 exciter sx and thats a huge difference.
I experienced the super hot thumb and warm hands deal these sleds have. turned the dial down and thumb was cooled down way before my hands got cold. I agree that separate controls would be ideal but its manageable in my opinion.
the ugly c&a skis are a real treat to ride with! sailed right over the top of the powder and steer like a car! very impressed....just wish they were blue instead of black.
ran into some weird things over the 250kms I put on her this past weekend, so I have some questions and what not and am looking for some tips/info/thoughts....but ill post those in a separate thread.

I see what you mean about the skis, they certainly could use a separate colour to offset the black there.

I think in gonna get blue loops for them to offset the black a bit....I think a full blue ski may be too much.
Btw....how is your clutch setup on your 01?

I think some white Polaris gripper skis and so.e blue/white hand guards would make that sled pop.

Removing the paint from the tunnel and polishing it would really make it sharp!

Product info. •Deeper upper and lower keel design allows for the best performing skis in loose and hardpacked snow conditions.
•Integrated traction on top of ski for superior grip.
•Deep, 1½" keel for positive steering in loose snow.
•Large, forward biased rocker for reduced steering effort.
•Wide, 6¾" ski for increased flotation
If all goes as planned I will put a set on my 97 sx. I rode a poo that had these and they handled awesome and stayed on top of the snow.

You can use poo skis in a Srx, that's just wrong lol
Also handguards on a Srx dosent make sense, it will never be a big bump snow cross sled so why copy the look?
It's suppose to be low and bad like a musclesled should be!
Be like putting a ricer wing on a 67 Shelby haha
Here's my 2800 mile 02 with the blue C&A's ...I dig em
