So I stored my machine over the winter and just recently sold my SRX and had to resort to this one. My problem is when it was running, it was fine. Throughout the normal use, it quit firing on one plug. Changed the plugs and still nothing. I just left the shop that I was working on it, also where I work, and turns out no matter what coil all my wires are plugged into, it only fires on two. Switch it around and still just two. I know that all the coils will fire it's just that it doesn't want to fire all three at the same time. Can anybody help me? Oh, and this is the old '99 motor.

I've also tested everything in the stator and switches and everything is within specs.

Check your ground wires and maybe look for a broken or rub through wire.

Is it always the same two cylinders or does it move around when you switch the wires?

I've got great spark on one cylinder, not so great on the next, then the last of the three is so weak of a spark that it does not fire. No matter what I do I'm still chasing the culprit. Still can't find it. I think I might just find a new stator or used one that has come off a running machine. All my grounds are connected. I am going to check the ground that connects to the coil loop. I figure these two are my best option.

Did you check each wire that feeds the coils for continuity? Wires mite be broken inside.

Harness under motor has been checked I assume.

Did you check resistance in the plug caps, should be at 5000 ohms.

Went through the harness and everything zeroed out except for the y/r wire and black (ground). Turns out it's my warmers. Disconnected them and the hood harness. Still the same. My best bet is changing out the stator and flywheel again. Tried all three of my boxes which includes my 700 box. No difference. I think I'll go with the stator exchange. All else fails is that I have a spare. Anyone reading this got any off a running sled?

I have 3 flywheels and used my cleanest one. The one I took off had scratches on the magnet inside. That's how I figure it's best to change the stator coil etc. I'll find out once I score a stator

Turns out I had to use my most rustiest one out of all the flywheels and found out that I have found and fixed the problem. Just need a good set of coils to go with it. Thanks for all the help people. Until next time.....
