trailing arms, powder or paint?

i am wondering if the trailing arms come from the factory painted or powder coated? if painted, does anyone have a paint code for the silver on an 01sxr700? i fugure powder coat is probably better, but paint will be cheaper. and with paint, i can retouch them up. thanks guys

I have a 02 Venture 700. I did some touch up on my trailing arms using this;

I masked off the Pro Action decals and painted the whole arm and thought the match was pretty good. The IES product I used was recommended to me by a friend that restored motorcycles. Some of the bikes he restored are now in Honda's museum.

If buying spray cans, paint/ primer might be cheaper but at least get a quote on powder. It holds up way better on trailing arms in my experience. It's usually not as expensive as you might be thinking.

Do it once and do it right and Powdercoat it, will last and it's money well spent!
